What is up, ladies and gentlemen?
I suppose some of you may not be particularly gentle men, and others of you do not own land in Scotland, so you aren't ladies either. Perhaps a more appropriate introduction would be, "what is up, average folks of the world today." But then again, you are the folks of the world tomorrow... I will accept ladies and gentlemen for now.
Many of you are wondering why I chose 'LeDream Team' as the subject of this email. Though likely before your time, do you readers remember the Dream Team and the Kareem Team (and maybe another that I've forgotten) from the Olympics? Since none of you were literally born yesterday, you probably remember that Lebron James and many others fought (cough cough) for the gold medal. When asked what his team was called, Lebron James replied with "the Avengers". I think that he missed a wonderful opportunity to become LeDream Team. Fortunately, that waives all copyright issues and allows me to use it for our district, 20-K. They are all just absolute lads. They are fun to be around, serious when we need to be, and are hard workers. Everybody is super chill, we definitely follow all of the rules that are even slightly hinted about. Hence my sending of this email at 9:50.
We have had some serious experiences in these last two days. We read a scripture about "no poor among them", and realized that's what we wanted our group to be like. And we really are creating it. Having friends makes this a lot of fun, even when the work sucks and the days are long. Despite my misery at the sound of an alarm at 6:30, I think I started having fun today. Our language class, which I was lowkey dreading, was super fun and I learned that I remembered a lot more French than I thought. Learning French is much more enjoyable than I recall it being (sorry Mme Flood, J'adore'e ton classe).
Anyways, I'll send a longer email next week cause we have to do our team building prayer that is cementing our district as a family. Au revoir!
Elder Ott or something
P.S. I am not sure how to do accents on this keyboard. If you are a French grammar freak, please do not judge me. Thanks in advance.
